# How to embed a video in Gmail

Make your e-mails more personal and fun by adding an animated thumbnail. 📨

Did you know that adding a video to your e-mail can increase your click-through-rate (CTR) by 300%?! 😲

In case you want to add an animated thumbnail to your e-mail, there are two ways:

*   Use the Gmail integration
    
*   Add a GIF thumbnail
    
## Gmail integration

1.  Make sure you have installed the [Vormats Chrome extension](https://support.vormats.com/en/article/how-to-install-the-vormats-browser-extension-3mj0wx/).
    
2.  Compose a new e-mail or reply to a thread.
    
3.  Navigate to the Vormats extension in your Gmail taskbar and select the video(s) you want to include.

## GIF thumbnail

By adding a GIF thumbnail, your recipient will be more likely to click on your video. Here's how to add a GIF thumbnail:

1.  Click on the video in your [library](https://secure.vormats.com/eg/dashboard) and click **Share**
    
2.  Select **Copy GIF thumbnail**. A link will be copied to your clipboard.

3. Paste the link into your e-mail and it will show as a GIF thumbnail. 👍🏻
